Roles & Responsibilities
As a US Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial data, ensuring compliance, and supporting business decisions. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of accounting and financial tasks, such as:
- Direct interaction with US-based clients to understand their accounting requirements and provide solutions
- Categorization and reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions to ensure accurate financial records
- Posting journal entries in General Ledger (GL) and maintaining sub-ledgers
- Handling cash applications and ensuring timely reconciliation of receivables
- Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records of Fixed Assets and Inventory
- Performing payroll accounting and ensuring compliance with applicable standards
- Calculation and recording of depreciation and amortization for assets
- Cleaning and organizing books of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Preparation of Trial Balance and Financial Statements as per US accounting standards
- Conducting financial analysis to support business decisions
- Preparation of ad hoc reports, MIS reports, and dashboards for management
- Liaising with auditors and clients to resolve queries and ensure smooth audit processes
- Handling month-end and year-end closing activities
- Supporting ISMS (Information Security Management System) activities and implementation strategies
