Roles & Responsibilities
This role requires a mix of operational accounting, compliance handling and reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- ERP Accounting: Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in ERP (Navision / Tally / equivalent), ensure correct ledger postings and maintain master data accuracy.
- Payables & Receivables: Monitor AP & AR ageing, follow-up on collections, validate vendor invoices, and ensure on-time payments while optimizing working capital.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, vendor and inter-company reconciliations; identify and resolve variances promptly.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure processes for GST, TDS and other statutory requirements are followed; prepare returns or work with external consultants for filings and audits.
- Cash Management: Prepare and manage daily cash flow statements and short-term cash budgets; advise on fund requirements and liquidity optimization.
- MIS & Costing: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS, costing reports and variance analysis for management; present actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Audit Coordination: Support internal and external audit processes, supply schedules, explain variances, and implement audit recommendations.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closings — accruals, provisions, fixed asset schedules and ensuring timely financial statements.
- Process Improvement: Propose and implement process enhancements in accounting workflows and ERP usage to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria
- Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate or Inter CA (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting roles with demonstrable ERP experience.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and other statutory frameworks applicable in India.
- Proven ability to prepare MIS and costing reports; comfortable with numbers, reconciliations and analysis.
- Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting databases or ERPs.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with auditors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
- High integrity, adherence to timelines and a problem-solving mindset.
