What is Financial Due Diligence (FDD)?
Financial Due Diligence is a critical part of the M&A process. In simple terms, FDD helps buyers, investors, and lenders understand:
- The true financial performance and quality of earnings of a target company.
- The sustainability of profits, cash flows, and key business drivers.
- Underlying risks, red flags, and areas that may impact deal value or structure.
- Normalisations, adjustments, and issues that should be considered in negotiations.
As an FDD Consultant, you will be at the heart of this process, working closely with senior advisors and clients to provide data-backed insights that directly influence whether a deal goes ahead, at what valuation, and under what terms.
