Position Overview
The Sr. Manager – Finance & Accounts will oversee the entire finance function — including accounting, taxation, reporting, and treasury. The role requires strong command over financial systems, Indian accounting standards, audit management, and people leadership. The selected professional will collaborate directly with senior management, statutory authorities, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
As the Sr. Manager – Finance & Accounts, your role will include the following major responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Manage complete accounting, financial statements preparation, and compliance under Ind AS, IFRS, GST, and Income Tax regulations. Ensure timely statutory filings and accuracy in all reports.
- Audit Leadership: Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits. Coordinate with auditors and consultants, resolve queries, and ensure all recommendations are implemented effectively.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections. Analyze variances between actuals and budgets to drive better cost control and decision-making.
- Internal Controls: Design and implement robust internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency across financial transactions.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor cash flow, fund management, and working capital optimization. Negotiate effectively with banks, vendors, and other financial institutions.
- Team Mentorship & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals. Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous learning.
- MIS Reporting: Generate management information reports (MIS) that provide actionable insights to the leadership team for business strategy and growth.
- Strategic Support: Partner with management on cost optimization, business planning, and new project financial feasibility analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and leadership. You should be passionate about accuracy, compliance, and building efficient systems. Below are the must-have qualifications and attributes:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Works Accountant (CWA).
- Minimum 8–12 years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, and audit functions.
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity, managing a team or a business unit’s finance department.
- Strong technical expertise in Ind AS, IFRS, GST, TDS, and Income Tax laws.
- Experience with accounting software like Tally ERP and strong command of MS Excel and analytical tools.
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines, coordinate across teams, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with senior management, auditors, and stakeholders.
